Digital text analysis working group, 5 and 12 September 2012
Visiting professor at the GCDH Tobias Blanke will present 2 workshop-style introductions to the methods of digital text analysis. From Zipf to cosine distance to linked data and beyond, he will explain it all. Both meetings will take place at a special time: 10am-11:30am (or longer, if we want).
Tobias will present the concepts for the first 45 minutes to an hour of the meeting time. These presentations will then be followed by hands-on practice for the participants with the concepts discussed. Since space is very limited for these workshops, I would ask you for these special meetings not to invite anyone who is not on the mailing list already and not to forward this mail to any other list. But please come yourself and take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.
