Brown Bag Lunch talk by Péter Király (Göttingen eResearch Alliance): Dataverse in practice
Dataverse is a new service for research data management and publication, currently in test phase. The main purposes of Dataverse are to provide a data archiving and publication possibility, and to provide a research group a way to share data within the team or with external parties (e. g. researchers, data collectors, data consumers, decision makers, monitoring agencies). Several funding agencies require proper management of research data in order to maintain the reproducability of the research.
In this phase we are looking for use cases, how researchers would use such a system. The Brown Bag Lunch talk will contextualize why Dataverse is useful, and explain its usage in a hands-on fashion.
